Winter is close

The weather is awfully cold. I'm sitting in my big wooly jumper and hanging on to a hot cup of coffee which suddenly seem like the best thing in the world. It's been raining so much, it is not even enjoyable. I'm having a little trouble adjusting my dressing style for cold days! All I can think of is layers, layers and layers. I need inspiration to dress both for the weather and style without looking like I'm trying to hard.

What would you wear?

Sheer sheer sheer! Sheer has never looked so cute in this S/S09 collection. I've been looking for the perfect sheer skirt ever since. Back in last year when everyone was hyping about Charles Anastase, I was secretly hoping it'll roll out in similar versions on the high street this Spring. Only if I knew how to sew...it looks like a possible diy, yes? Sheer fabric, needle and threads, elastic band, voila!

On a similar note, the idea of sheer loose hosiery/pants is stuck in my head after reading this post on flying saucer about her desire for a pair. Random keyword search on Google led me to this: Dagmar Fall 09 (swedish brand). Awesome! Click here for the full collection.

Maison Martin Margiela x Barbie

credit: style.com, nitrolicious

For Barbie's 50th anniversary, Martin Margiela designed a totally distinct costume with a face mask and hair coat. It reminds me a lot of his A/W 08 collection. Speaking of which, I am very intrigued to find out where the exhibition is being held now.

Walk the long dress in sneakers

I love that outfit! Playful yet feminine. That was the impression left when I stumbled across this picture of Zanita and it reminded me so much of what I wore the other day! I was thinking Japanese-but-less-loud and to work a long dress with sneakers.

The idea of Japanese? Pants under dress.
